in case you’ve ever been intimidated with the aid of the concept of creating Oreo Cheesecake (or, any form of cheesecake), don’t be. This recipe is easy and easy and, perhaps nice of all, there's no water bathtub required.
INGREDIENTS
Oreo Cheesecake
- 1 Oreo Crust prepared in a 9-10" springform pan, not baked
- 32 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature (910g)
- 1 cup sugar (200g)
- ¾ cup sour cream (180g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs room temperature preferred
- 15 broken Oreos*
Chocolate Ganache (optional)
- 1⅓ cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips (225g)
- ½ cup heavy cream (120ml)
- 1/2 batch homemade whipped cream
METHOD
Oreo Cheesecake
- using an electric powered mixer, beat together cream cheese and sugar until creamy and properly-blended.
- Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract.
- upload eggs, one after the other, stirring till simply blended after every addition (you don’t want to over-beat the eggs or the cheesecake could be much more likely to crack)
- Use a spatula to fold in Oreos.
- Pour lightly into springform pan over Oreo crust.
- Bake on 350F for 35-45 mins or till middle is ready but springs again to touch.
- as soon as Oreo Cheesecake has completed baking, permit it to chill to room temperature for approximately an hour before placing inside the refrigerator to cool and set absolutely (approximately 6 hours). once cheesecake is cooled, you may prepare the chocolate ganache.
Chocolate Ganache (non-obligatory)
- integrate chocolate chips and heavy cream in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir often until chocolate is melted and aggregate is easy.
- allow ganache to chill for 10 minutes and then pour lightly over cheesecake. allow ganache to set earlier than topping with whipped cream (if using) and reducing and serving.
- If preferred, pinnacle off with home made whipped cream and sprinkle with damaged cookie pieces.
